We need your help

April 29th, 2013

Tuesday is the last day of April, and the last day we have to meet our April fundraising goal.

We are only $2,387 away from hitting this goal. Can you help us make sure we hit this critical goal?

Challengers from the far right have already begun lining up to defeat our campaign in 2014. You and I know that their extreme agenda is not right for our district, Arizona, or the nation.

Please help make sure we have the resources to fight in 2014 by helping us meet our April fundraising goal before the deadline.

Thank you for your support,
Kyrsten

Tell Congress: Pass the Employment Non-Discrimination Act NOW!

April 25th, 2013

Tell Congress: Pass the Employment Non-Discrimination Act NOW!Our country has come a long way towards equality for all citizens, but there’s much more to do. We need to pass the Employment Non-Discrimination Act now.

Incredibly, it is perfectly legal under federal law to fire someone because of her sexual orientation.

Without a federal anti-discrimination law, LGBT Americans in 29 states have no protection from workplace harassment, being denied a promotion, or losing their job.

Please sign our petition to demand that Congress pass the bipartisan Employment Non-Discrimination Act. Read More »

Protecting our environment and creating jobs

April 22nd, 2013

Happy Earth Day!

I love Earth Day because it’s a reminder to take a moment and reflect on the natural beauty of Arizona. As Arizonans we are so fortunate to live in a place with such breathtaking natural wonders.

This bounty comes with a responsibility though, to be good stewards of the land and protect it for future generations. And fortunately one of the best ways to do that is also a great way to boost our economy, by incentivizing clean energy manufacturing in Arizona and the rest of the country.

Energy innovation is quickly becoming one of the world’s largest industries, and countries all over the world are purchasing billions of dollars’ worth of wind turbines, solar panels and other energy technologies. I want to see those products made in the United States and for our country to remain competitive.

That’s why the first bill I introduced in Congress was the Security in Energy and Manufacturing Act of 2013 (SEAM Act), which would extend the Advanced Energy Manufacturing Tax Credit program. Read More »

ACTION UPDATE – Senate Moves on Immigration

April 17th, 2013

Last night, a group of Senators from both parties released their immigration bill.

As an Arizonan, I am proud that our Senators John McCain and Jeff Flake took the lead.

But until Congress actually gets the job done, we don’t have much cause to be proud of anything. House Speaker John Boehner hasn’t even committed to bringing a bill to the floor for debate.

Please join me in telling John Boehner that we can’t wait for immigration reform. Read More »

CONGRESSWOMAN KYRSTEN SINEMA RAISES $333,062 IN FIRST QUARTER

April 11th, 2013

Phoenix, AZ — Kyrsten Sinema for Congress raised $333,062 in the first three months of 2013, leaving the freshman Congresswoman’s re-election committee with over $300,000 on hand.

Sinema’s 2012 campaign raised and spent roughly $2.1 million in a period of ten months, triumphing over the more than $3 million of negative TV ads which were run against her in the Phoenix media market. In the 2014 election, Sinema’s strong fundraising prepares her campaign to blunt another negative TV onslaught.

“We are off to a strong start on the strength of Sinema’s grassroots support in the community,” said Tim Oyen, Finance Director for Kyrsten Sinema for Congress. “She spends so much time visiting with businesspeople and community leaders in Mesa, Tempe, Chandler, Ahwatukee, Sunnyslope, Arcadia and Central Phoenix. We’re going to continue to work hard at this.”

ACTION ALERT: Tell Boehner We Can’t Wait

April 11th, 2013

Tell Boehner We Can't WaitThis week the Senate has begun moving forward on an immigration reform compromise. But while the Senate is making progress, John Boehner is sitting on his hands. Instead of leading on this important issue, he is forcing the House to wait on the Senate.

Will you join me in telling John Boehner that we can’t wait for immigration reform?

As Arizonans we know this issue better than most, and it affects us more. That’s why coming to a comprehensive solution is so important for our state and country. Our Arizona Senators John McCain and Jeff Flake are taking the lead, because they know how important reform is for our future. Read More »

Thank You

April 1st, 2013

Thank YouWow.

Thank you for your support and generosity. We swam, biked and ran our way past our goal of $6,000 — raising a total of $7,249 before our March deadline.

This next year in Congress is going to be tough, but with supporters like you I know we will always reach the finish line.

Thank you again for your support, we couldn’t do it without you.

Kyrsten

P.S. I am competing in a triathlon in Tempe in just two weeks as part of my training for the Ironman in the fall!

Amazing!

March 29th, 2013

Help us meet our goal!In just one day, you have carried us almost halfway to our goal of $6,000 by March 31st. You’ve contributed $2,885 in just 24 hours.

In terms of the Ironman triathlon, we are out of the water and onto the bicycle.

If you haven’t contributed yet, please give $25, $50 or $100 today.

Kyrsten is training hard for her Ironman triathlon this fall, and she is working hard in Congress to support Arizona families. She played a leadership role in passing the Violence Against Women Act last month, and now she is working on passing the DREAM Act and reforming our immigration laws.

Your support will help Kyrsten be ready for the real Ironman triathlon: the 2014 election. Please contribute $25, $50 or $100 today!

Race to the Deadline

March 28th, 2013

Help us reach our goalOur March 31 fundraising deadline is coming up, and I need your help.

My fundraising director Tim tells me that we need to raise $6,000 by Sunday night in order to meet our budget plans.

They say that getting things done in Congress is not like a sprint, it’s a marathon. That’s one reason why I am training for an Ironman triathlon to build my strength, endurance and focus. The more disciplined I become, the better I will do representing Arizona in Congress.

The Ironman I am training for requires me to swim, cycle and run. Can I count on you contribute $25, $50 or $100 to support our re-election effort? Read More »

I’m with Kyrsten

March 18th, 2013

Hello! My name is Tim Oyen, and I recently joined Team Sinema as Finance Director. It’s been a lot of fun to get to know many of you over the last few weeks.

One reason I am so energized to be on the team is that I live in Ahwatukee and Kyrsten is my voice in Congress. But more than that, I am excited that my representative is open-minded and articulate, passionate and practical. As an example of what I mean, please take a look at this video of Kyrsten on MSNBC’s Up with Chris Hayes yesterday: Read More »
