Malarkey

October 12th, 2012

Last night, Joe Biden summed up Paul Ryan’s double-dealing in one word: Malarkey.

Congressman Ryan has been pushing his plans to privatize Social Security and gut Medicare for years. Even though these plans will hurt Arizona seniors, my opponent, Bush appointee Vernon Parker, supports them. Parker has even pointed to the Medicare portion of the Ryan budget plan as the part he likes best.

I will protect seniors from these Medicare cuts if you send me to Congress, but I need your help to get there. Can you contribute $25, $50 or $100 today so we have the resources we need to stay on TV?

The AARP has said that the Paul Ryan budget plan “would undermine Medicare’s promise of secure health coverage,” and when Paul Ryan visited with the AARP to explain himself, he got booed. That’s because AARP members know malarkey when they hear it.

There’s been plenty of malarkey aimed at me in this campaign, but what matters most is protecting middle class families from the severe cuts to schools and Medicare that Vernon Parker and Paul Ryan have planned. That’s why I need you to contribute $25, $50 or $100 today.

Thank you for all that you do.

Sincerely,

Kyrsten Sinema

P.S. Washington, D.C. Republicans are throwing more than a million dollars’ worth of malarkey at our campaign in negative ads. Will you help us fight back with a contribution of $25, $50 or $100 today so we have the resources we need to stay on TV?
