robocalls

March 8th, 2014

Friend,

Out-of-state national Republicans are hitting us… yet again.

First, they tried a fake website to trick our supporters into donating to them. Then they went up with radio attack ads. And now, they’re targeting me with robocalls that are at best deceptive and at worst outright lies.

It’s National Republican Congressional Committee limbo: How low can they sink?!

If they’re doing this in March, we know it’ll get much worse before this election’s over.

That’s why I wanted to come to you right away – as soon as I heard – and ask for your help fighting back. We’ve calculated we need $15,000 for our Rapid Response Fund immediately and we can’t do it without you.

Anything you can spare helps, even $5 – and it means so much to have you standing with me in moments like this.

Click here to donate $5 or more right away – this minute, if you can – to help us fight back against out-of-state Republicans on the attack.

It seems like we’ve seen it all. An attack somehow, and senselessly, invoking The Smurfs 2. A fake website designed to look and feel like ours that they used to raise money to attack us. Lying robocalls.

They’ve done all this and we’ve still got 241 days to go until Election Day. We can’t stop far-right groups from launching ridiculous, out-of-left-field attacks, but the thing we can control is staying ready to counter them.

Will you help us do that by giving to our Rapid Response Fund now? It’s how we’ll win.

Click here to donate anything you can spare right away. We’ve got to fight this attack and build a grassroots-powered team ready for the next.

Thank you so much for the honor to represent Arizona. I love being able to serve our state!

crunched the numbers

February 27th, 2014

Friend,

With national Republican committees creating fake websites to attack Kyrsten – crazy, I know – it becomes all the more important that we hit our budgets.

I just crunched the numbers: We have $9,562 to raise in the next 35 hours (or, $273 an hour).

I wish we didn’t have to ask for your hard-earned money, but now that national Republicans and the Tea Party are hitting Kyrsten, we need your help now so she can continue representing our values. Especially because those hits could become worse: Kyrsten was the first member of the delegation to demand Gov. Brewer veto the ‘license to discriminate’ bill and the other side doesn’t like leaders like her.

Whether it’s $5, $25 or $50, it doesn’t matter – what does is that you give something. Because if we’re all in this together, thousands of grassroots donors, they won’t be able to stop us.

Can I tell Kyrsten you’re in?

Click here to donate $5 or more to help us make budget so we can defend Kyrsten’s record from out-of-state groups who don’t share our values.

We are ALL – especially Kyrsten – thrilled to have you on our team.

Thanks a bunch,

Tim

Tell Gov. Brewer

February 26th, 2014

Friend,

Arizona is so much better than this – this being a discriminatory bill that is hurtful, offensive and harmful to our families and businesses.

A bill under the guise of religious freedom that allows businesses to deny service based on sexual orientation? It has no place in our state – any state. It doesn’t reflect who we are and what we stand for.

Governor Jan Brewer is deciding whether to veto, and the answer HAS to be yes, and it shouldn’t require deliberation. She should have done it the moment it was signed. Every minute she waits more Arizonans are hurt and our name gets dragged through the mud.

Will you help me deliver that message to her? Senators McCain and Flake are with us. This bill’s wrong. It’s so bad three Senate Republicans who voted for it have since backtracked. Tell Jan Brewer.

Click here to demand Gov. Brewer veto SB 1062 and keep Arizona a place where everyone can work and live.

There’s no argument for keeping this on the books. It’s pro-discrimination and anti-business, two things we should never be. Period. The end.

Join me in telling Jan Brewer – click here to let her know we won’t stand for this.

Thanks,

Kyrsten

with a B

February 18th, 2014

Friend,

Whether we’re talking about reforming our broken immigration system or runaway student loan interest rates, this is true: campaign finance underpins every one.

Corporations are spending in secret to influence Congress and rig the game. And since the Supreme Court cranked open the floodgates with its ruling in Citizens United, it’s only gotten worse.

Take our race in 2012, for instance. Out-of-state special interest groups spent nearly $3 million to tell Arizonans how to vote and it almost worked. It took six days after Election Day to secure our victory.

It’ll get worse this time because my record shows I won’t be bought – and that only emboldens these groups to spend more trying to take us out.

Congress needs to fix the Court’s mistake. Help my colleagues and me send that signal now. YOU deserve to be heard.

Click here to add your voice! Sign the petition to demand Congress overturn Citizens United.

The most powerful interest in our election is yours, and the voice that should ring loudest? Yours, too.

Elections need to be about passing comprehensive immigration reform to bring 11 million DREAMers out of the shadows and the teachers in Tempe buying school supplies out of their own pockets because they care so much about their students. It needs to be about being there for the veterans who volunteered to risk their lives to defend our values.

Citizens United cleared the way for special interests to spend billions – with a B – making sure our elections aren’t about those things; instead, they make them about their own profits.

The only way to set this right is to undo this disastrous ruling. Help by adding your name now.

Thank you for always speaking out for what’s right,

Kyrsten

before dinner…

February 14th, 2014

Friend,

I know today is Valentine’s Day and I’m sorry to bother you, but it turns out national Republicans aren’t too sweet on what we’re doing in Arizona.

I’m still in disbelief: they created a fake website – that looks like ours – to solicit donations to attack us.

In a way, they did us a favor: they let us know to be ready for anything. That means nothing short of hitting fundraising goals week after week and month after month so we can stay on track to defend our record and grow an unbeatable grassroots-powered campaign.

Before you have drinks with friends or dinner with your significant other, can you donate even $5 to help us raise $3,631 more to make budget before midnight?

Click here to donate $5 or more to help us make budget by midnight tonight so we can defend our record and grow an unstoppable, Arizona-first campaign.

With almost every holiday that passes, I can’t help but think about how grateful I am that you’ve entrusted me to represent Arizona.

Thank you.

Whatever you do, have fun tonight!

Kyrsten
