NATIONAL VETERANS AND MILITARY FAMILIES GROUP ENDORSES SINEMA FOR CONGRESS
Phoenix, AZ — Today, the national organization Veterans and Military Families for Progress announced their support of Kyrsten Sinema in her race for Congress. VMFP’s mission is to ensure that the rights and needs of veterans, active-duty servicemembers, and their families are protected and strengthened by all levels of government.
A press release statement from VMFP President Ronald Scott reads:
Veterans and Military Families for Progress enthusiastically and proudly endorses Kyrsten Sinema in the upcoming 9th Arizona Congressional District election.
Kyrsten Sinema is a strong supporter of our nation’s veterans and active armed forces. As an Arizona state legislator, Kyrsten Sinema forcefully advocated and supported legislation that would keep Luke Air Force Base as an integral part of Maricopa County. Sinema’s strong commitment to the issues that are critical to veterans, those serving now, and their families is unsurpassed. Her public support for priority funding of the Veterans Administration and her declared determination to provide for the establishment of a national veterans and military family policy give veterans and their families hope that at long last a Congresswoman will vote in such a way as to keep faith with those who have served and sacrificed.
“As a nation, we have a moral duty to stand by the men and women who serve in our armed forces,” said Sinema. “Our obligation is to see that the fallen are not forgotten, that those returning are welcomed with dignity and respect and those who are actively serving can return to their families safely. I’m deeply honored to have this endorsement.”
