PHOENIX SERGEANTS AND LIEUTENANTS JOIN FIREFIGHTERS AND PHOENIX CITY COUNCILORS IN SUPPORT OF KYRSTEN SINEMA
Phoenix, AZ – Today, the Phoenix Police Sergeants and Lieutenants Association announced their support of Kyrsten Sinema in her race for Congress. The PPSLA represents the law enforcement supervisors in the Phoenix metropolitan area who work for better standards of safety and risk prevention in our neighborhoods. These neighborhoods and communities include Ahwatukee, Sunnyslope, Arcadia, Biltmore, and historic neighborhoods along the Phoenix central corridor.
This latest endorsement adds to the growing support for Kyrsten Sinema in the City of Phoenix and Congressional District Nine at large. Earlier in the year, Sinema picked up the endorsement of Phoenix City Councilors Daniel Valenzuela and Tom Simplot. Because of her work to make local communities a priority at the state legislature, Sinema also received the endorsement of Arizona’s first responders, The Professional Firefighters of Arizona.
PPSLA has endorsed Sinema because of her proven record of accomplishments for the families that they work to protect on a daily basis. “[Sinema] is an advocate for the forgotten middle class,” said Sean Mattson, President of PPSLA, “After researching and searching for a candidate that exhibits leadership, values and principles that our country needs, PPSLA is excited to endorse Kyrsten Sinema for Arizona’s Congressional District 9.”
“I’m honored to have the endorsement of the men and women who make our streets safer for our kids and families,” said Sinema, “I’m running for Congress because I believe that it’s time for a fresh voice in a Congress that no longer looks out for regular families.”
