SINEMA EARNS ENDORSEMENT OF ARIZONA BUILDING TRADES COUNCIL

June 7th, 2012

Phoenix, AZ – In a vote yesterday, members of the Arizona Building and Construction Trades Council came together to endorse Kyrsten Sinema in her race for Congress. The Building and Construction Trades Council is comprised of 17 affiliates that serve Arizona’s construction labor unions. They represent 11,000 members in Arizona. Members include electrical workers, masons, roofers, insulators and sheet metal workers. Together they advocate for fair and healthful work environments. They stand for job creation policies that will put us on the path to our nation’s recovery.

“Sinema has a strong record of reaching across the aisle to get things done for Arizona families who work for a living,” said Buzz Murphy, President of the Arizona Building and Construction Trades Council. “In this next decade we will need strong advocates for job creation. We need someone who will fight for workers and for a stronger economy. Sinema will be this person for us in Congress. “

“I’m incredibly honored to have the support of the Building and Construction Trades Council”, said Sinema. “Their work in Arizona and across the nation is part of the solution for much needed work opportunity. They represent the brick and mortar of our nation’s developing infrastructure. I’m running for Congress because I want to restore the middle class and help our local businesses grow.”
