Phoenix, AZ – In a meeting on Saturday, The United Steelworkers Arizona Local Legislative and Education Committee voted to endorse Kyrsten Sinema in her race for Congress. United Steel Workers International District 12 has also endorsed Sinema. United Steelworkers is the largest industrial labor organization in the country representing workers in the manufacturing sector and other industries. They join the Arizona Building Trades Council, United Transportation Union, Arizona Council of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, and the AFL-CIO as job creators who stand with Sinema as the person who will fight to restore the middle class.
“Sinema has shown an ability to break through partisan divisions in order to find solutions for Arizona’s working families”, said Manny Armenta Jr., Chairman of the L&E Committee. “While others are vying for the chance to prove they can pass commonsense legislation, she has a record of already having done it. Arizona families struggling to make it need a fighter who will speak up for us in Congress. That person is Kyrsten Sinema”
“I’m very proud to have the endorsement of United Steelworkers,” said Sinema. “They represent the hard working Americans who are part of the ninety-nine percent. Their work in creating a vibrant forward-looking manufacturing sector is part of the solution to restoring an economy that works for working families.”
