July 9, 2014
Phoenix, AZ – Congresswoman Kyrsten Sinema’s campaign in Arizona’s Ninth Congressional District announced today that they raised $581,731.61 in the second quarter of the year, bringing them to $1,593,997.61 cash on hand as of June 30.
“Thousands of supporters know that Kyrsten Sinema shares our values and priorities,” said spokesperson Megan Cagle. “Kyrsten is fighting for our veterans, standing up for Arizona middle-class families and working to expand and grow our economy.”
To date, Sinema’s campaign has raised $2,458,335.90, the most of any Arizona congressional campaign this cycle. With a solid fundraising and supporter base of grassroots supporters, Sinema’s campaign is the clear frontrunner.
“Support from donors across Arizona will help us fight back when the dark money attacks come this fall,” said Cagle. “In 2012 those groups spent nearly $3 million attacking Kyrsten and thanks to our supporters we are prepared to make sure voters in AZ-09 know the truth.”
Elected in 2012, Sinema is holding Congress accountable and keeping her promises. She is working to create and pass comprehensive reform for the VA Health System. She is a cosponsor of the No Budget, No Pay Act because Congress shouldn’t get paid if they fail to do their job. She is working for Arizona families by protecting Medicare and Social Security for our seniors and ensuring college affordability for our students.
