Kyrsten Sinema Announces Candidacy for U.S. Senate

PHOENIX, ARIZ. – Citing her frustration with a broken Washington and lifelong commitment to delivering for Arizonans, Tucson native Kyrsten Sinema today announced her candidacy for the United States Senate in Arizona.
In video released to Arizonans today, Sinema discussed growing up in a family that for a time was homeless, and how that instilled a commitment to working hard, as well as the duty to give back to a country that inspires her to serve.
“I owe a large debt to my country. I got my shot and now it’s my duty to help others get theirs,” said Sinema. “I never believed that being homeless was going to stop me from being who I wanted to be.
